![]() In order to develop a conceptualisation of counterterrorism in NATO member states, I am reading articles related to this topic. Today, I found an article by the EUROPEUM institute on "counterterrorism policies in Central Europe". An interesting topic addressed therein is the question of Europeanisation and internationalisation -- i.e. the idea that counterterrorism policy in some states is based on foreign templates. Although such diffusion concepts might help explain what drives policy reform worldwide and the homogenisation thereof, they do not seem to help explain any degree of variation in counterterrorism policies.
